Rev. William "Bill" Lee serves as the Assistant Pastor at Community of Hope African Methodist Episcopal Church in Temple Hills, MD. A dynamic leader, he previously held the role of Senior Minister to Youth at Ebenezer A.M.E. Church in Fort Washington, MD, under the esteemed leadership of Rev. Dr. Grainger Browning, Jr., and Rev. Dr. Jo Ann Browning. During his tenure, he developed and implemented impactful programs that served over 3,000 young people, equipping them with spiritual and practical tools for success.
At Community of Hope AME, Rev. Lee is deeply engaged in the church’s transformative work in HIV/AIDS awareness, violence prevention, community-police relations, social justice, and educational advocacy. His voice resonates far beyond the pulpit—whether as a preacher, workshop facilitator, commencement speaker, or community advocate, he is committed to empowering individuals and uplifting communities.
A proud graduate of the Howard University School of Divinity, Rev. Lee earned his Master of Divinity while serving as a Graduate Assistant at Rankin Chapel. There, he played a key role in launching "Wednesday Night Live," a student-led worship experience that continues to inspire. He has also contributed to theological education through the Continuing Education program at Howard University School of Divinity.
Beyond ministry, Rev. Lee is a man of many passions—a devoted foodie and chef, a skilled photographer, and a fashion enthusiast. His ultimate mission is to help people walk boldly in their purpose, becoming the best versions of themselves in alignment with God’s calling.
